Of late a need
Within me burns
To put my thoughts
In Rhyme
A need that all
My Poetry is
Running out of time.
Has Clotho paused
Her spinning
As the Moire
Search the threads
To glimpse what
Fate awaits me
What destiny
Lies ahead.
Have I more life
Before me
Or is the end nigh here
Will there be time
To finish the
Poems that are
Part of me.

You're referring to greek mythology for Clotho spins the threads of life, I know a little bit about the Odyssey but not much.

A beautiful poem about the greek godesses.

Thanks, LOA

LOA ;
The Odyssey was the first Travelogue ever written about the Mediterranean. As Odysseus travels took him to Cyprus, Egypt, the North Coast of Africa, Sicily, and finally home to Ithica on the west coast of Greece. If you ever get the chance you should read it but first read the Illiad. "Sing, goddess, the anger of Peleus' son Achilleus".

Yes,they are great stories indeed,but freaking bricks to read.
I would like very much to read The Odyssey and The Illiad one day but just don't have the time anymore to read big books.

Still, maybe I should buy them and read little bits of the story at a time.

My Lady; I believe they come in Audio books. I too would rather listen than read them (again).

I would love to keep writing but methinks I monopolize Celtic Hearts to much
with my poems.

No, no. I mean keep writing. If the fates like it well enough, they'll keep waiting for the next one and they won't snip your thread.

Don't worry about the forum - them as likes it reads it; them as don't, passes it by. beer_mug.gif

You are fine, you keep things active in here. And your writings are great! The sentiment in this piece is something I have often felt in my own writing. We are so blessed to be able to share our thoughts, and we can only ride the waves of our gift for an unknown length of time. I figure it's best not to worry about the end of the thread until you reach it. Less you break the thread while trying to lengthen it.

Aaediwen;

I am writing and shan't stop till my brain dries out and withers away. I haven't been posting all the poems because as I said it feels like I am monopolizing the Forum.
