A Salsa/African type station won the best in World Music - although the number of hours logged by this station is only 20% of Highlander Radio. It was a little surprising knowing how many members voted, but in reviewing the details of the contest I did not see any disclaimer that the contest was based solely on votes, etc.

Still, it is an honor that we were nominated as 'Best in World Music' and I do thank everyone for helping make that happen!

BUMMER! Here I thought we would win for sure..

In the mail today arrived (from Live365) notification that Highlander Radio has won the Best in World Music 2005!! Along with a certificate there is a trophy, in the form of a microphone, engraved with "Highlander Radio Best of World 2005." Thank you Jim for pointing this out. I should of followed on this thread sooner. I think this is totally my fault, I was reading the international live365 community forum and there was a message there from one of the other nominee's; but his message was a little misleading and I thought it meant he had won. I just want to thank everyone that voted for us and to apologize for the confusion.
