Though he never regained consciousness, it took my cousin 5 months before his body gave up the struggle.
Now, in addition to being happy to win this CD - I am significantly moved. Thank you.
What a touching story, I am so sorry about your cousin. They got to do something about these trucks. Thanks so much for sharing this with us......it is very moving to hear this.
For Wednesday December 20, 2006 - the Free CD for today is Christina Stewart's - Kist o Dreams - a lovely CD of beautiful children lullabies from Scotland. This CD will be given away on Wednesday to a mother, father or a grannie. Post your message here and tell us about your sweet little ones and we will choose one of you to receive this CD to share with your young ones!
"Kist o Dreams is the brainchild of Inverness-born singer, Christina Stewart. The aim of the project is to encourage mothers, fathers, grannies and other carers of young children to sing lullabies to their children by making a CD of lullabies from Scottish tradition available. There’s no need to be able to read music or look up song words in a book, it’s all there on the CD."
"Christina comes from a Highland background and the singing of lullabies and other traditional songs around the house was taken for granted as she was growing up. She went on to study Traditional Song as part of her degree at Edinburgh University and the School of Scottish Studies. Performing and teaching traditional song have been constant features of her life and in recent years she has taught for Highland Council, the Traditional Music and Song Association of Scotland, Balnain House, Hi-Arts and the Celtic Connections Festival working with all age groups from pre-school to adults."

My wife and I are expecting our first child next June, and my thoughts have turned toward lullabies and music that I can learn and play for my son or daughter (I play tin whistle and the Irish flute and have recently begun learning the hammered dulcimer).
Although there are doubtless many albums of lullabies, I'd especially love to learn a few Scottish lullabies, and I'm part Scots myself. An album such as this would not only help us to better connect with our child but help our child to connect with his or her culture.
My sweet little one will be a new grandson that should come into this world tomorrow. His mother goes to be induced into labor in the morning and that will bring young Conor Liam into the world.
This is great christmas for us this year with both a new grandson and my son home from Iraq.
hopefully you will take both a fathers joy and pride in the achievments of his children and a new grandfathers pride that the clan will live on.
P.S. Thanks for the wonderful place you have given all of us. May the house of Mac live on as long as their is an internet.
