Celtic Radio Community > Celtic Music > Looking For Powerful Instrumental Drums And Pipes

Posted by: shreddingmaterial 29-Nov-2008, 10:12 PM
I'm new to celtic music, but enjoy any fast, hardcore, powerful drums and bagpipes. I also prefer instrumental music. Any help in finding these types of bands would be greatly appreciated.

One band that I do enjoy (minus the vocals) is Albannach.

Thanks,
Jon

Have you heard Clan Wallace? You can listen to them on UTube, www.myspace.com/theclanwalace and at www.headhuntersrecords.co.uk. Give them a listen.

Hmm...I'd like to try and find some vinyl albums of instrumental pipes and drums myself, thanks for bringing this up shreddingmaterial.

I run an online store specializing in piping recordings and while I don't have any Albannach in stock I do have The Wicked Tinkers who fall into that category and The Red Hot Chilli Pipers who combine pipes, drums, guitar and keyboards. Take a look at http://www.bagpipediscs.com and navigate to "Folk/Other with Scottish Pipes".

Cheers,

Ian Lawther
