Greetings to all.....I am a new member.........my name is Steve......I am 64 years young......I am about 10 years into discovering my Celtic self......it began when I went to a Hihgland Games in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada and went to my first Ceilidh........"These people are just having too much fun!" I thought....but I was hooked.
So...I have been going to Celtic Colours in Cape Breton, (when I could afford it), and various and other concerts when near......(I have seen my favorite...Natalie MacMaster.....6 times)....
I should also say that I am a third generation United Methodist Minister..... and am into the process of discovering my Celtic Soul.....I just discovered the Northumbrian Community.....
My Great-grandfather came to Watertown, NY from Ireland in the mid 1800's by way of Canada. I am just starting to search for exactly where he came from... there are some folks who may be family who spell their name Loane..... we think it was shortened to Loan when they came here, but we really don't know.
It is great to have found this site and this forum....I would love to talk to any and all.......
