Yes, what a wonderful smile!!
I just found this topic, noticing it because my friend's son just found out that he's scheduled to go back to Iraq in August... the whole family is very troubled, because they thought he was home to stay.

I will be thinking of Nick and Ryan now too. Let's hope this war is resolved soon and all of our soldiers are able to return home.

What a great smile!

Nick is doing well and isn't in any serious danger right now, thank heavens! He's fixing fiber optic stuff so we're hopeful that it will help his future.

I rarely watch network tv, but I surfed into channel 7 (abc I think) and they had the pictures and names of our dead. I watched for as long as I could stand it. I want to say something to those families, but what could I say that would help? Nothing I think, but I am glad that the networks are making us aware of who they are.

I am glad to hear your son is ok!

And to the question of what to say to those families that have lost loved ones. I personally wouldn't say anything. I would listen. sad.gif I am sure they have far more to say, which will aide in thier healing. That is far better than anything *I* could say.

Here's the latest picture of Ryan. He just finished repairing one of the helicoptors.

If you would like to view more pictures of his unit, click here: http://www.warriorfamily.com/pictures.htm

Nice photo, A Shrule!
It seems as though his spirits are up.

I wish all the soldiers over there well, and that they all return home soon!

Ryan, unfortunately, had to do some duty he hoped he would never have to do today. He has picked up wounded and prisoners many times since he's been in Iraq but today was his lowest day. He was sent out to pick up 4 Marines in his unit.

Our loved ones over there are very brave and deserve a safe returnhome. They will be in our prayers. I have a friend serving there as well... I think of him often.
God bless

A Shrule Egan,

My prayers to you, your family, Ryan, and his crew. My son is in the Army (Infantry) and currently in Alaska, but I expect that before the year is over he will be either in Iraq or Afghanistan.

O'siyo,
My 'meditations' and 'spiritual askings' will be full with well wishes for the men and women and their families that are at 'war' now~~ I have a cousin who has been in Iraq since September '03..he hasn't been home as of yet but, when he does come home, he has a new baby son waiting on him born January '04~~ David is in the Marines and is planning on making a career out of it like his dad, my brave
Uncle ~ biggrin.gif
I have read the posts here and everyone is correct when saying that even though some of us may not support the 'war' we will always support our troops!~

Annabelle, is Matt your son? Hopefully, the situation over there will be better by then and our young people will be coming home, not more going.

Barddas, hope Ryan is well and safe. Both men, along with all of our nation's brave men and women, continue to be in my prayers.

Yes Matt is my youngest son and the baby of the triplets. I certainly hope you are right and more will come home but we support the military.

Did i misunderstand Ryan is Egan's nephew right?
