Praise Tah Me!, This piece of junk computer; She Lives!

After the sound card on this piece of junk conked out about december last year, I've been working on-and-off at getting the sound card working (It was the onboard one, i bought a USB Card, and that conked out a little later, so i unearthed my old desktop and used that to play celticradio, an essential for me, but that's a tale for another day...), I Finally got it working! Hurray for 2.1 channel laptop speakers and wireless DSL ! I am proclaiming myself forum tech geek! Now to get this DVD Drive working... the driver conked out a few days ago, spontaneously. Ah well, I Like a good challenge! *Puts on the coke-bottle glasses* Bring it on windows Vista!!!

I must post a query though.... If you have all the cool hardware, why bog it down to half speed with Vista?
