Did you all miss me? I've been working this week at the US Open (golf). You probably didn't see me on TV though. I was working as a parking attendant. I was just getting $7.50/hour but a little money in the pocket is better than none. I remembered to bring a folding chair, plenty of beverages (no beer, Patti!), and sunblock. Me having the trifecta of fair-complected peoples' blood in me, Irish, Scottish and eastern European, I don't dare sit out in the sun without at least SPF 40 sunscreen.
I'm also using a new web browser. Microsoft said that it will cease making new versions of Internet Explorer for Mac users, so I'm testing out Apple's new browser, Safari. Pretty cool for a beta version.

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
We did miss you, Mike and I'm glad the beverages you drank were non alcoholic, especially if you were a parking attendant. That might have been a disaster! Good to have you baaaak!

I was watching the news and someone whistled and spoiled Tiger Woods first shot. He was so upset about it that he never did get his game back! I though maybe tht was you whistling at some pretty girl at just the most inopportune moment!

I wasn't parking cars or directing traffic or anything like that. They were having people park at an offsite lot and then bussing them in. I was working at the pickup/dropoff point at the course.
BTW, I had to park at that lot and take the bus to the dropoff point. They were school buses, so I felt like I was back in school , going on a field trip ! I loved going on field trips in school-better out there than sitting in a classroom .

Mike - Coppertone Spectra SPF 50. It is a godsend. I have the red hair and freckles, and if I didn;t get burned while I was camping, then it is good stuff!

Nice to have you back! I understand the fare complection. My wife calls me "the prince of darkness". Because I try not to stay out in direct sunlight too long. Otherwise I'm as red as a cooked lobster...hahaha
