Alright, Hotel California is explained. Anyone want to take on MacArthur Park?

Who leaves cakes out in the rain anyway? And what's with green icing?

Richard Harris singing about the love of his life. Cake is symbolic of his courage and humility as he expresses his love at risk of rejection.

Yep, that's it alright. And they left his courage and humility out in the rain.

With green icing.

What year is it?

1968, Richard Harris singing Jimmy Webb. What about those other classics? Wichita Lineman, By the Time I Get to Phoenix, Brooklyn Bridge (It's the Worst that Could Happen), Good grief, this makes me dizzy, and strangely nauseous. I suddenly have a craving for a hickory burger from Tastee Freeze.

Golly, feel kinda like going for a ride to shoot stop signs with the old Mossberg .22.

My whole life is ahead of me. Must be a dream. Gotta wake up.

Here's my take on it. He was on a picnic when there was a surprise storm. He ran for cover and forgot his cake. The reason for the green icing is that it was St. Patrick's Day. biggrin.gif
