I loved their first 2-3 releases, especially 'Forgiven Not Forgotten' and 'Unplugged'. But I've lost interest now. Is it just me, or have they been losing that distinctive Celtic/folky sound?
Their music now seems to be more pop than Celtic, and the fiddle and whistle seem to be taking somewhat of a backseat on their newer stuff. sad.gif

I completely agree. I loved their earlier CD's and it seems like as soon as the United States started to advertise them more, they changed their style from very Celtic feels to more pop. I still think they have great voices, etc. but what I really loved was the Celtic feel. I bought the new album but don't listen to it all that much.

Oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is my very favorite band! They are coming out with a new CD in May or June in the UK. No release date for the US yet. sad.gif I have every CD they have ever made! I love the Forgiven Not Forgotten CD but I love everything they do. I am a big fan of theirs! They are going to be in concert in Boston in August!

I like the Coors also. I think that Forgiven Not Forgotten was their best album, but I still like the newer stuff too. I do miss the Celtic sound though....

Well, I am really excited right now. Last night I made reservations for my sis and I to go see the Corrs in concert on August 14th. They will be at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. They place where the Oscars are held! So I can pretend walking the red carpet when I am there....LOL We got really good seats too.........in the orchestra section. Can't get any closer than that!

Just had to share!

Hey! that would be cool, except I don't have the garb. sad.gif

found out today The Corrs' new release here in the US is scheduled for June 8th! Yippie! We Corrs fans have waited a long time for this CD........two years to be exact. I have several of their concert videos on DVD or VHS, but can't wait to see them live. Gosh! It has been years since I have been to a real concert. although I am going to see The Wicked Tinkers on July 17th! Can't wait for that either!

Allen! I am also going to be seeing "The Wicked Tinkers" in concert in July and I just bought their new CD called "Hammered." Then I just bought the new "Wolfstone" CD today on Amazon! Don't know if you have heard of these bands, but Highlander radio plays their music regularly and I was introduced to them from here! We are so lucky, eh?

I keep buying books and CDs too. I will be 300 before I can afford them all! laugh.gif

I have one of Wolfstone's CDs (Pick of the Litter) and I like it, but I don't think I've ever heard anything by Wicked Tinker....

Oh, BTW, have you heard of an Australian guy named Steve MacDonald? I have 2 of his CDs (Sons of Somerled and Highland Farewell). Sons of Somerled is the best of the two but both are really good!
