I've just found a thing on the BBC America web site that offers slang translations! This might be interesting: http://www.bbcamerica.com/britain/dictionary.jsp |

I'm going shopping for a pair of drawers? Low cut, boy cut, thongs or thigh highs. After that I'll look for a pair of gutties. Nike's, Sketchers, or Reebock's. SB, I got a chuckle out of some of those words! maggiemahone1 |

There's not as many 'translations' as I'd like, but it is fun to read the ones there! Glad you got a chuckle out of them. I remember my Irish friend Donna would call herself "BARK-in" to mean she's crazy/mad... sometimes I feel like I'm BARK-in too! SB |
