Hey there dundee,

I have been a shooter since I was a child. I have a Winchester 22 rifle, a 22 pistol, a 20 gauge shot gun, 30-06 Springfield, hand made Navy Pistol, black powder gun that miss fired it will never be shot again.

We usually go outside of town and shoot.
I have rabbit hunted since I was a child. I also bow hunted. Once my children came into the picture no time. When I do go out and target practice now I am still really good for a woman. I have the nickname of Annie Oakly in my family..

Sounds like you are really good. Good subject dundee I will be curious to see if anyone does this.

I was raised in a house full of guns and went rabbit hunting with my dad often growing up. My father used to go Trap-shooting every weekend he could, and I even worked for a trap club for about 3 years from 12-15. I used to be a pretty good shot myself since my father had me on a shooting range by the time I was 6. He would have to stand against my back at the time so I wouldn't fall on my butt from the recoil. Ahh, the memories...but anyway. Silly me, I married a guy who doesn't like them, so unfortunately I don't have any now. rolleyes.gif

Haven't really been shooting in a looong time. Grew up with guns in the house. During WWII, any meat on the table was probably a squirel that my father got with his trusty .22 (which I now have). Wife also grew up with guns. Both boys (now adults) shoot. Not a special hobby, just part of life.

Well, I don't shoot, not yet anyway, I would love to, just at the time, with three kids and 2 jobs, there's not much time left for it.
I'm not afraid of guns, I like them and have a great deal of respect for them and the people who know how to use them and take care of them as well as make their own!
My husband was in the Air Force and he grew up with guns in WVa, so he knows how to shoot and likes to. I used to have a pellet gun, but that was a looooong time ago, lol, and I don't think that quite qualifies me as a shooter, lol.
One day, when we have the time and the money, we both want to take the proper courses and have our licences. biggrin.gif

I would love to learn to use a bow, properly, too. Lessons at camp when I was a kid just don't seem like enough, y'know? rolleyes.gif

I have...
A Savage 12 gauge,
A CVA 50-caliber Hawken (kit),
A Winchester 9422 magnum, and a
Remington 22 LR.

Plus a Bear Grizzly recurve bow.

and Lil, I take the bow outside on warm spring and summer evenings, just to shoot. I find it relaxing. Better than watching TV.

BTW, my two boys are absolute paintball fanatics!

I grew up with firearms in the house. Rabbit, pheasant, quail and deer hunting have been a part of my life since I was very young. Shotguns, rifles, home built kentucky rifles and a few pistols are used regularly aroud here. I love to shoot regulation trap, skeet and sporting clays. I have many fond memories of shooting at the range with my children. fireman2.gif

I don't own any firearms and have never fired a gun in my life. I would like to own a gun and learn how to shoot though.
