Did I know this thread existed? Maybe I've passed it by on my way to somewhere? What was I thinking? Well shall I take the time to write something? I guess I am?? |

Something new-- hope you enjoy it!
Here's how it works: each person thinks of two rhyming words and makes a set of clues for them. The next person would answer and make a new set of clues for two new rhyming words.
ie.
Q:your brain; to tie tightly
A:mind bind
or
Q:a color--what you wear on your foot
A:blue shoe
______________________________________________________________________
I will start with something easy:
Q:what we do with our eyes--an insect that gathers honey |

Here's a sad example... I wanted to convey a complicated thought through simple words. I'm not sure if I've portrayed it quite the way I had intended yet--its a work in progress. I'm learning and please, any comments are welcome.
Today I see just one Not the pair Filling me with dread as I listen to the longing in your song.
You search high and low moving quickly, quietly from place to place. Is he a ghost now--gone forever Without a trace? Without a clue?
I've been told countlessly that only time will heal. I've often wondered how... Back and forth, you come and go. You song rings out so clear, so true.
A shining example of hope. Be still. You may not see it yet. His spirit rests in you.
So that's the gist of it -- I'm having a hard time with this one. |

In the Muslim community the general public views their leader as the one who ultimately responsible for the actions of the entire group. Which can be highly illogical when applied to a large society as a whole I know but that's just the way it is. Events have been escalating for over a year now in some parts of Europe and it became especially violent with scourges of young arabic mobs haunting the streets of London and Denmark in "ghettos".
To make a political stand by rebuking a cartoon character in the name of religion is laughable when you consider the consequences of this war. Using it as an excuse to further propagate their agenda is deplorable but to also use it to perpetuate violence on a national scale as they did and justify it in a holy manner is barbaric and inexcusable.
Especially when some are milking it. Is this going to be the wave of the future of the Middle East? Maybe to fuel their little war machine? http://edition.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/europe/02/02/turkish.movie.ap/index.html
A modern means to old chapters in the history books IMHO. The Crusades come to mind. The point is this will never end if all sides to not actively take measures to ensure peace, it will spiral out of control until it becomes so violent and bloody that the horror of it might, just might, be too great for anyone to bear and make it stop. |

Glad you liked it.
Yet sometimes I wish I could write with a freer hand...make the words dance without rhyming every verse. Sometimes it honestly feels like I can't break out of a shell. |
