I was thinking of dressing up as the Scarecrow off of Wizard of Oz, but changed my mind. Now I'm going as a middle-aged, balding, graying father of three with dunlop disease. A cheaper costume there never has been. |

Well, I'm supposed to be dressed as a scottish something -- our New York Caledonian Society is throwing the Samhain costume party. I'm torn between going as a haggis, a bottle of Drambuie, a sheep, and a banshee with a bloody load of wash in a basket. Probably will just go as me, though. |

I probably wear my favorite T-Shirt which gives you the Top Ten Reasons why I don't wear my Halloween Costume. Here are some for example: You look stupid enough for both of us! I gave Lady Godiva my costume! I wanted to go as a witch but my Mother In Laws Clothes were just to big! LOL - Happy Halloween! |

I'm debating whether to wear my cloak or not - it's usually pretty cold that night, and the cloak would let me keep our girls warmer in between houses. Costumes have become so thin, and they can only wear so many layers before destroying the effect of the costume all together. They always absolutely refuse to wear their own coats! Takes the fun out of it! Hubby stays home and hands out the candy. He also has a cloak - highwayman style - and wears it topped off with a very life-like gorilla mask ! He stays outside on the front patio, fire lit and going strong in our grill, holding the box of candy with a convenient hole in the bottom. He won't usually use that secret unless he gets a group of unwary teens, then uses it to grab their hands as they reach for sweets -- always sends at least one running screaming! Actually, we've managed to get a good reputation for giving out King-sized candy bars, so the kids make a point of visiting us. Everyone enjoys a bit of fun! Dreamer1 |
