I have been looking for a specific recording of Johnny Jump Up (JJU)...I don't know who did it. All I remember about it was that it was really fast. Most of the recordings of JJU I have heard are the standard tempo. This one would have been much faster, almost Celtic Rock/Punk. That's about all I can remember about it. (Not much, I know.) Does anyone know who would have done this one?

Amadan does a folk-rock rendition of it....

I've only heard one version which seemed fast to me... It is on the Gaelic Storm CD Special Delivery.

Wow..how freaky. I was just reading the first entry of this thread, and as I'm reading, I hear the song playing in the background. Was a bit freaked out until I read the rest of the thread.

It's a very good CD. Amadan's music has an angry/bitter edge to it that I find quite appealing at times.

Thank you, Aaediwen, for suggesting the correct answer. smile.gif I thought I requested it before, and it was not correct. I was getting frustrated. smile.gif Silly me.

I agree with everyone about Amadan's music. I will be purchasing that CD VERY soon. I really like what they do with trad tunes.
