Yeah, next time I would like to spend the night in one of the hotels there so I can take photos of the constant changing effects of the canyon. We took a day train trip up there so I was limited as to what time of day I could take my photos up there.

Those are beautiful Rose! Especially the one of the Grand Canyon! There was excellent depth and clarity even far into the distance! Keep 'em coming.

Wow! The grand canyon is one of the sights I must see before I die. Usually, I recomend to people that they should shrink a picture down so it can fit on a screen without scrolling. But risking the loss of so much detail would have been a mistake.

But I can help you make that image sharper. Try to fight the haze a bit. Do you have photoshop?

The Hopi house has me transfixed. I'd love to see more. I guess that's the point. laugh.gif It's like witnessing the advancement of a culture into a new age of civilization without actually being there at the time. It's amazing that they can have stone buildings, but a mere few hundred miles away, their brothers are nomads living under deer skins. CULTURE! I crave it so! tongue.gif

yes, I have photoshop OR, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to use it. There are some adult education classes here in town and next time they are offered I am going to take them cause dope here just can't figure it out and too lazy to spend a lot of time on it trying.

Here is another of the Grand Canyon that has a wee bit more contrast. I was limited in the time of day I could take these photos as we had to get back on the train.

Another photo of the Hopi House. It has been turned into a gift shop now.

Ok. I'm going to give you your first lesson free. laugh.gif

open the picture with ps, and save it as something else, so you don't ruin the original.

Now go to the Image pulldown, pass over Adjust, and pick Brightness/Contrast.

A window will open, and in there you'll have the two adjustments. You can play around with them as you like, but I sugest you give it, say, +10 or 12 contrast, and the opposite in brightness. This will sharpen the image, without making it too bright.

If you went too far, simply hit ctrl-z to undo any changes. smile.gif

OR ! I have Adobe 4.0. I am so disgusted with Adobe right now I want to throw it out the window into the lake of fire...........that is how bad I feel about it all! I can't get it to do anything! I need one of my smart nephews over here to teach his old dumb aunt a thing or two. That is the only way I am going to learn is by visual means. I don't do well with instructions.................thank you so very much for trying to teach this old lady something, but I am just not smart or patient enough. sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif
