I've just found a thing on the BBC America web site that offers slang translations! This might be interesting:

http://www.bbcamerica.com/britain/dictionary.jsp

--------------------
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king..."

I'm going shopping for a pair of drawers? Low cut, boy cut, thongs or thigh highs. After that I'll look for a pair of gutties. Nike's, Sketchers, or Reebock's.

SB, I got a chuckle out of some of those words! biggrin.gif

There's not as many 'translations' as I'd like, but it is fun to read the ones there! Glad you got a chuckle out of them.

I remember my Irish friend Donna would call herself "BARK-in" to mean she's crazy/mad... sometimes I feel like I'm BARK-in too!
