I think the interview went pretty well. I hope to hear from them soon.

Oh good, Mike! I am glad the interview went well! Is it something you think you would like? Keep us posted as we want to hear the outcome. You are in my thoughts and prayers, Mike!
Mikey, make sure you do a follow up phone call. I know it's been a couple of days since the interview and follow up calls are almost as important as the interview. Good luck on the job! A PS: Give us a report on mom!
Peckery needs to have his posts approved now before they will show in the forum.
Yes, this is off topic, but censorship? Is that really the message you want to be sending? Come on, man. You know I've got loads of respect for everything you're doing here, but I just don't agree. I find it pointless to leave a forum, but if I were being censored, that's precisely what I'd do. And that's saying a lot.
So Mike, did you make that follow up call?

Way to go Mike!!! Interviewing is never fun. Here's to hoping you land this one and don't have to interview again for a long, long time.

Compassion is the sometimes fatal capacity for feeling what it is like inside somebody else's skin. It is the knowledge that there can never really be any peace and joy for me until there is peace and joy finally for you too. - Frederick Buechner
If society prospers at the expense of the intangibles, how can it be called progress?
News flash! Peckery eaten by pack of Trolls!!! News at 11!
Ok, ok, he WAS teasing the trolls with a stick.
Ok, back on topic: I understand all too well the stress of applying and interviewing for jobs. I do contract or "temp" work. I am unemployed several times per year. I got used to the uncertainty. My wife still gets nervous. My next round is now. My current contract ends June 30 and I am currently hustling on the internet. The challange is to find my kind of project locally so I don't have to travel or move ( I LIKE Chicago). Good luck, Mike!

we own a business but we have our seasons where it does really well and then things slow down greatly. Can understand all those of you going through times like that and job changes too.

First of all, best of luck to you my cyber brother.
Secondly, it was a play on words. Fry's Electronics, French Fries. Today I posted another word play in " what is your favorite kind of weather" I posted "Weather or Knot." I don't know what came over me. I will seek help. I will never do it again. I meant no harm to anyone, and it was said with no malice, only a in my heart. If you find it necessary to punish me for this transgression, only know that I meant no harm.
I just applied online to the Best Buy in Merrillville, Indiana. I did that for three reasons: 1. Best Buy is one of my favorite retail stores, 2. Indiana is a "right to work" state. Illinois is a "work at will" state, and 3. I'd like to move to Northwest Indiana some day. Compared to Cook County (IL), the cost of living in Northwest Indiana is much less.
Mike! I have a friend who moved to Indiana and absolutely loves it there! Wow! Wouldn't that be neat if you could get this job? I love Best Buy too! However, luckily I live an hour from one or I would be in there all the time spending money! Much luck, finger crossing and prayers sent your way! And keep us posted!
