The Leather tight, enfolds The cal'used Hand My Hilt does hold. Morning mist seeps Through my sheath And with it chilling dew Clings to my well worn Blade And fills the Runnel Where blood has flowed. My edge is sharp But scarred with nocks Most small, some large Where blades have locked. I feel the warmth From my wielders flesh Flow slowly down My gleaming length. And as it spreads The Hunger stirs Deep with in my Iron soul. For but one reason I exist and that to feast On our foes' Blood And steal the life That lies within. |

Camac, This is a Warriors' poem. There is no mistaking it, no punches pulled in its design, a graphic reading, this represents the stance, focus and purpose of the warriors' blade. You captured it. USN |

I cannot agree more. But how come this one just appears now. Did I miss something? It's the first time I see this one frankly I don't know how I could've missed it. I'm sorry Camac, my mind is not all there these days. Yes indeed it is a great poem and you describe very well what a warrior must feel on the spur of battle. LOA |

LOA; I am surprised that you just read The Blade I posted on 17 May. Glad you like it. Camac. |

Well, in my defense all I have to say is that I probably read it and went to do something else and forgot about it or like usual must of been sleeping with my eyes open LOA |

LOA; You are most certainly forgiven My Lady. I had thought I had lost my star critic and although I am just an amateur I still need some feedback even negative. Adieu and Bon Soir Camac. |

Thank you mon cher ami. There is no way in hell that you would loose me as a fan because even for an amateur your writings are simply too good to read. I just wish that you'd write more often though. But as an amateur artist myself in more ways then one because I do paint and draw pictures and a lot of other things it's good to take a step back from it all because one needs this time off to regain one's inspiration otherwise it becomes redundant and there is no pleasure in it anymore. LOA; Thank you for the support and as to writing more often Il'' try. but now I must post a warning to all my friends. WARNING To all inhabitants of the Planet Earth living in the area marked by the Azores in the East Atlantic to the International Date Line in the Pacific, from the North Pole to the Equator and beyond. On Thursday the 12th day of this month of June a series of loud piercing sounds will emit from South Central Ontario This is merely the first rendering of the "Screaming Cowards' Operetta". It will start with a series of low Whimmperings, followed by muffled Grunts which will progress rapidly into ear piercing Screams. Fear not for it is merely me enduring the agonizing torture of a Sadistic Samurai Dentist armed with a Katana as he removes the remanents of 14 broken teeth. The operetta will end approximately 45 to 60 minuets later as we hear the slurred whinning of the hapless victim shuffling out of the Chamber and crawling home.I have been shot, stabbed, blownup and burned, had working parts of my inner body removed and I would gladly suffer through that again or spend eternity in Tantalus than face the exquisitely excrutiating embrace of the Dental Chair. All appropriate confessions, promises and offerings to the Gods have been made . Now I must Endure. Camac |

"We do have a zeal for laughter in most situations, give or take a dentist.” Joseph Heller, I find that most men would rather have their bellies opened for five hundred dollars than have a tooth pulled for five. ~Martin H. Fischer Some tortures are physical and some are mental, but the one that is both Is dental. Ogden Nash If suffering brought wisdom, the dentist’s office would be full of luminous ideas. LOA; My Lady I am truly shattered. You would have no pity no empathy for me in my hour of extremus. The Medeval Rack would be much preferred rather than the High Pitched Keening of the Drill or the piercing jab of the needle. Please I pray show some sympathy. Camac. |
Posted by: UlsterScotNutt 11-Jun-2008, 01:59 PM |
Ouch, not even My Lady offers a sympathetic message. Talk about a bubble burst I guess you'll have to some more for sympathy. |
Posted by: Lady of Avalon 11-Jun-2008, 04:49 PM
Now!Now!lLove, A grown man who asks for his mommy and a lollipop when pain is involved don't deserve my sympathy, I am completely deaf and so can't hear nothing of your cries I'm afraid. Just take a few good swig of scotch before and I garanty you that you won't feel a thing as a matter of fact, you'll want to go back for more, and instead of grunting and screaming you'll sing man muahahahaha!!!!! LOA & USN; In my hour of discomfort the both of you have been my most ardent supporters. If I were King I would bestow Honours, Titles and Lands upon you then take them all away for making fun of me. I suffered unto Death and I didn't even get a Lolipop. Alas Cruel World, Death where is my Lolipop? I have suffered the Slings and Arrows of Outrageous Fortune and not one Lolipop. A Lolipop, A Lolipop, My Kingdom for a Lolipop. Alas it is but the fate of us poor mortals to suffer for a Lolipop. Hey guys, like my quotes? Taught Shakespeare everything he knows. Camac. |

Camac, Ok, you're back to normal!!! On aside note, A friend of mine moved up towards Lockport, NY and I was planning on visiting him sometime this summer. You mentioned you might be sailing the high lake seas this summer. Anywhere near Lockport? Time? I'll swim out and meet you. USN |

USN; I'm negotiation the lease of a boat now form 11 through 22 Aug. I'll keep you posted. Wrong Lake though I'll be on Ontario and Lockport is over by Buffalo on Erie. Camac. |
Posted by: Camac 17-Jun-2008, 02:28 PM
USN; I'm not back to normal. Lockport is just south and east of Olcott which I have sailed to many times. So if I get a boat for Aug. I'll sail over to Olcott and with luck we can meet up. Don't swim out as even at this time of year Lake Ontario is bloody cold. Certain body parts try to climb up to your head. Keep fingers crossed. Camac. |
