Ireland defeats England 24-15 to win the Grand Slam for only the third time in their rugby history! A Grand Slam means they won all the Six Nations matches. England were the defending champs, but they had a terrible campaign. The Irish had already won the Six Nations championship but needed today's' win to seal the Slam.

Erin go bragh!!! Ireland is now the second-ranked team in the world behind the All-Blacks of New Zealand. Great days for Irish Rugby fans! Great job by James Stocksdale. Johnny Sexton and the lads!!

Squire, it was indeed a sweet, dominating victory! Where I live, I am about the only rugby fan around, but believe me, everyone knows about the Grand Slam here! At least, they do now! biggrin.gif
