Rooted in the years of success of our Waterfront Irish Festival, this one-day event will venture in a new direction—on a new date—focusing on contemporary Celtic music. Enjoy a mix of the most popular performers from our past, merging with an exciting new act making their Newport debut! The 2012 lineup features returning crowd-pleasers The Town Pants, Tartan Terrors, Screaming Orphans, andEileen Ivers, leading up to the energetic headliner Gaelic Storm.
Oh yes, the Guinness will flow and the Irish spirit will soar! The shenanigans also include hearty Irish pub fare, lively step dancers and distinctive pipe & drum bands, and countless treasures and artisan novelties to be discovered in the Irish Marketplace. Over 10 hours of Celtic Rock on one summer day on the Newport Waterfront!
