Everyone hears it sooner or later -what's your hurry- after getting pulled over by the police for speeding? Everyone has a reason they were speeding. Whats yours?
My excuse was "I've got a NEED FOR SPEED, sir" He said he had a need to write!

The only time I got caught speeding was in a construction zone which would have made the ticket $200-400. It was on the interstate on my way to work when I lived in Arkansas and I was doing the auto pilot thing. Luckily I was a state employee and worked with the wife of a fellow officer--the looking like a young, harmless and helpless female thing probably helped also. I got off with a warning and a promise never to do it again--which you can be sure I didn't!!

When the cops turn on the light and siren, I usually wait about two minutes before I pull over. I tell them that my wife ran away with a policeman and I was afraid that they were bringing her back!

I tell him or her that my husband works for the Q.P.P. and gets off with a "Have a nice day!". Only once it didn't stick; the guy told me that even if my husband would be the pope he'd still give me the ticket. So I told him "Do what you do best." he didn't like that...

Of course because he does work for the Q.P.P. you have to take advantage sometimes of certain privilege without abusing. hypocrite.gif

It was a municipal cup that didn't like what I answered back to him and it was my fault I should not have done that and I paid the price for my arrogance that day with a ticket of 125.$ and lost 3 points.

I've never gotten pulled over- but not for lack of speeding. lol If/when I do get pulled over, I'd probably give some boring (and true) excuse like, "I'm going to be late for school/work!"

I said, "Ah git outta here! You gotta be kidding? Didn't know my car would go that fast - are you sure? I just escaped that tornado is SLC and made it this far - Are you sure?"
