Last night our neighbors came back from a vacation in Europe. They brought "us" a box of milk chocolate from Belgium. After they left, I reached to open the celophane covering the individually wrapped pieces, getting my hand slapped. My owner, with a feral gleam in her eye, snatched the package, saying sagely: "MINE". We were due to have friends arriving within about 15 minutes, so, I asked (not unreasonably): "aren't we going to share these with our friend?". My owner replied: "NO, MINE", snarling and glaring at me. After backing slowly away, I responded bravely: "whatever you say, dear". Does anybody ELSE have this kind of reaction to fancy chocolate? unsure.gif

What reaction? Your owner seems perfectly reasonable to me. tongue.gif

Yep - I think your owner is very reasonable.

I do the same thing to my husband too. I hide the good chocolate.

Since now I can buy a lot of german chocolate now here I share a bit more but still the main booty is mine and get's hidden.

Chocolate MINE - he can have the rest of the food.

I agree completely! My hubby isn't really into chocolate anyway, the one I have to worry about is our 17 year old daughter. I have to hide it when it's in the house!

I must agree with the rest of the women's opinions on this page about chocolate. I live in a suite with three other girls and there is one thing that doesn't stay long in our room and which we do not share with the other people on our floor...Chocolate

Judging by the reaction of the ladies who have posted here, my friend, it may be a bad idea to post where you keep your chocolate. I have a strange feeling it won't be kept there long if you do.

Personally, I really like Dove. It's a bit of a delicacy around this house. I'm also a fan of the combination of mint and chocolate. Ritter Sports anyone?

I guess I'm pretty easy where chocolate is concerned... I don't care what brand it is, I love it anyway! smile.gif Not crazy about white choclate though, might as well be pure sugar with a little milk flavoring!

My thoughts exactly, Wizard. I have never thought of white chocolate as real chocolate, it just does not have the same taste!

Did you know that white chocolate is the only chocolate a alcoholic can have? Thought that was kind of interesting. You described white chocolate to a tee! And it is sweet! smile.gif
