* Take the CTA Orange Line Train to the Midway CTA stop.

* From the Midway CTA Bus Terminal take the 386 bus to 71 Street & Harlem.

* Toyota Park is located just north of the stop at 7000 S Harlem Avenue.

Option 2: Getting a bus from the Globe Pub:

Better yet, if you are interested in making a day of it, the Globe will be showing the Wales v Azerbaijan World Cup qualifier game at 10am on the 6th, and will be running a bus to and from the park (beer on the bus included) at 12pm for $15. Call 773 871 3757 to reserve a spot.

We have a lot of people here of Welsh ancestry and there is an annual music celebration (I can not even spell the name) which attracts quite a few people. The lyrics are all in Welsh, which few here understand now, but the harmony is spectacular!

Appreciate the post! Gotta get out my wooden spoons! I once had a nice visit to Llangollen in Denbighshire - man, I love how they say that! Lovely place and folks.

Here's a picture of the River Dee through Llangollen. Or, as I like to say, dee river.

That picture was tops.

I am trying to get in contact with someone here who can spell the name of the festival for me. It begins with a G.

Cymanfa Ganu! Though for some reason it's called a Gymanfa Ganu in North America, I suppose it's gramatically correct but it still looks a bit odd.

There is one coming up in Pittsburgh in September, details below:

The North American Festival of Wales
3 September - 6 September, 2009
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Don't miss this opportunity for fellowship and Welsh culture in Pittsburgh!

The fest will feature four days of interesting and informative seminars, workshops and music by Welsh singer, politician and all around folk hero ‘Dafydd Iwan’, the Welsh Tenor 'Gwyndaf Jones', Celtic folk group 'Ar Log', 'Côr Cymry Gogledd America', 'Mari Morgan', 'Eilir Owen Griffiths', 'The Bangor Slater High School Slater Marching Band' and many more.
