"He was a man, take him for all and all, we shall not look upon his like again”
- William Shakespeare, Hamlet

On Monday, August 11 2008, Joe Kudla, aka Thomas Snot, passed away.
He leaves behind hundreds of family and friends who are at a loss to grasp his sudden absence from our lives, and millions of fans who, for 35 years, he moved to tears with laughter.
We are stunned and saddened. Please keep Joe and his family in your thoughts. Puke, aka Mark Sieve, is writing in his blog, where hundreds of tribute emails, along with Joe’s obituary and other details, are being posted. I heard about this about a week after it happened but was unable to post since my computer was down. Puke and Snot were the first Ren faire act I saw and it set my own standard for ren faire acts ever since.

Oh no...what happened?

Puke n' Snot were absolutely hysterical. People not in the know invariably gave us looks like we were losing our minds when we'd get all excited about them coming to the Faire. Which was...well...half the fun, let's face it.

The Pittsburgh Ren Faire started yesterday...now I'm all depressed.

It looks like it was a heart attack. The show will still go on with one of the backups playing the part.

Hearts send wings to those with the gift of laughter. I'm sure the replacement will keep the same spirit. Let's give thanks for the laughs we've had, and look forward to those to come.
