Something I noticed when I was out of town last week, the grocery chains are offering deals on their gas so much a gallon if you buy so much in their groceries. Now, do you suppose there is a mark up some where? I tell ya just don't know who to trust. Folks are spending more at their stores to get cheaper gas. I did here oil went down $9.00 a barrel so thats good let's hope it continues.

Ok, some of you know that in Connecticut they made it possible to have a cash discounted price for gasoline. Then the state went after gas stations and the way they posted the price differences. I thought, well a little silly but thats the state for you.
Most of the time you see 3 gas prices listed one over the other, regular, premium and super, with regular the cheapest price.
So, I needed gas and looked at 3 stations at one 4 corner intersection. Lowest was $4.349 , next $4.399 and $4.399 as the top listed prices on each of their signs. So , I pull in to the $3.349 thinking thats a good deal and start pumping regular using my credit card.
Then I notice that the pump is registering at $4.419 , so I look at the pump and look at the sign and then I notice the discrepancy. The sign no longer was a standard listing like we are use to seeing with regular, premium and super prices listed one over the other. Instead it was cash, credit and super prices listed one over the other. So it read, $4.349 at top, next was $4.419 and then $4.999. I stopped pumping and left.
Now I know what the state was referring to with confusing signage to the consumer. I just naturally assumed the listed prices were like we are all use to seeing and it never registered for me to look at the words below the prices. My fault, never to be fooled again.

Well (well ???), in Italy unleadead and gasoline both are ~1.50 € per litre, or 2.37 $ per litre, or 8.98 $ per gal...
And I'm lucky my car drives 20 km (12 miles) with a litre of gas !
