Hi All,

you might be interested in a Dougie MacLean event taking place in Scotland on October 28th - 30th. The Perthshire Amber event will consist of a series of concerts and related events and looks set to be a real treat for Dougie MacLean fans.

I do have a small part to play too. Dougie's wife, Jenny, has invited me to perfom a couple of songs in the open mic sessions .. I'm really looking forward to that !

Regards
Kevin

Thanks for the heads up...I would really like to go to see him perform, I hear he is really wonderful live...plus how nice that you've been invited to step and perform a bit as well! Good Luck with it and let us know how it goes!

I've been requesting songs from Dougie because I am trying to decide which cd to order from him. I always like to hear it before I do...so if you have any suggestions...feel free to offer them!

Any way..best of luck there in October!

Hi Amy,

my favourite ever Dougie MacLean song is "This Love Will Carry" from his "Singing Land" album. So I'd recommend that one for sure. The song "Singing Land" is lovely too.

You can hear extracts from pretty much all of his songs at his online shop at www.dougiemaclean.com but you probably know that already wink.gif

Hope this helps a little.

Regards
Kevin

biggrin.gif Thanks Kevin...

Your suggestions are noted...always helps to ask I think! I've been to his site & tooled through it quite a bit... I have to wait just a bit to order another cd as I have a son, a sister and a father all with birthdays in September...so...October will find me ordering a few new ones....thanks for your help though and keep us posted as to new things going on with you as well...we are always happy to support!

Cheers!
