New to the site but hoping somebody can recommend some Celtic/Bluegrass hybrid bands. If not i will start my own LOL. I know that the Dropkick Murphys have been mixing the pipes and banjos with punk music but i was looking for more traditional stuff (ala the Dubliners) Any suggestions? Loving the site so far beer_mug.gif

The Brock McGuire Band just recently released a CD entitled "Green Grass Blue Grass" which featured, among others, Ricky Skaggs. It's being played here on the station and is definitely worth a listen.

Cherryholmes has disbanded, but they always included at least one or two Celtic tunes in their projects and concerts.

Hope this helps a bit! Take care and have a great day!

Hi there,
The Paperboys or Tom Landa and the Paperboys as they seem to go by more often now have always had a mix. The last few years they have gone more towards latin influences so their earlier material would probably be of more interest, it is for me. If you google them you'll find them easily. They come from Vancouver, BC and have been around for a long time.
