Well, Those of you who watch the weather will know that a nice Winter storm just steamrolled the Bluegrass state. We were without power from about noon Tuesday to about the same time today. We're back up now, and the furnace has almost gotten the house back to normal temps as I write this nearly 3 hours later. We're slowly getting straightened out. Huge kudos to the folks with KU and all the other power companies in the area. And kudos as well to all those who have come from out of state to help with the effort.

I'm looking at Journal entries a bit late, but I too am from Kentucky - in Henderson. We lost power for over 2 days straight during that last week of January - the longest we have ever been so. It was like a winter campout, but with no prospect of fun. Our neighbors in the county and across the commonwealth - wow - what they have had to put up with, and some yet still.
