So, finally I'm back here. And I felt the need to share something with you guys that happend the night between Oct 28th and Oct 29th.

I've been with some friends of mine. One of them and me are part of the same circle.
We meet more or less regularly to read stories we write ourselves. And so we did that evening. We ha a great time and finally, at around 3 am, when we actually already wanted to leave, one of us said, he'd like to go and watch stars and if we'd like to join him.
We decided to go. It's a great place there. The house of my friend is located about half an hour by car outside of Berlin. It's pretty dark and we left for the fields nearby.
It was some minutes by car and we were standing on the pavement close to a field.
We watched the sky. There were meteors (? don't know if it's the right word...) and we had some wishes formulated in our thoughts. Then we took the map and searched for the zodiac.
We saw Taurus and Orion and many more.
Suddenly my friend heard something. She asked, if we heard it as well, but we didn't. She said, it was right underneath the car and sounded like a fox.
We saw the moon. It was just shortly over the horizon and it was red as blood.
And as we stood and watched it pass - we really could see the moon moving along! - the feeling of not being alone I've had the whole time through got stronger and stronger.
Finally I asked if anyone else was feeling as no longer being alone. My friend did. The one who had heard the fox. The others didn't. Or at least they didn't tell us.
It was as if we were surrounded by thirty or more people. And it was... somehow great. We were afraid. Fear crept up our spine and into our hearts.
My friend said, Samhain had just begun and the doors from our world to their had just opened. And I said it was much too early for that.
We were taught, that Samhain is waiting for the right arrangement of the zodiac. We were taught, that Samhain is at 15° of Scorpio. That's around Nov 6th momentarily. So it was much too early for Samhain to begin.
As time went by and we still stood there and watched the moon and the stars, the feeling of fear passed by. It was calm. Peaceful. One of the most beautiful moments I've ever had. But it got colder and colder.
Sure it was cold. There was no cloud. But it got even colder then it was when we arived. And I'm usually not someone who feels cold easily. So it was really bitterly cold.
We decided to leave. But we left with a feeling of being welcome to come by again whenever we want.
When we were back in front of our friends house it was much warmed again. The ground was much warmer. And when I mentioned that, one of the others said, that it was nothing uncommon, since we were standing on paved ground before and now we were standing on bare earth.
I don't know that much about natural facts. Another of us said, it usually was much colder on bare ground than on paved ground. I just don't know. Anyway, we agreed, that none of us had wanted to set one single step from the pavement to the free field.
All the time we argued whether Samhain had just started or not. My friend, who works in the circle for about twice as long as I do, maybe three times as long, mentioned the 9 days of the goddess that stand before each of the sabbaths.
As for me, I'm just so much mathematical involved that I started calculating. It's been exactely 9 days to the day 15° of Scorpio must be reached. 9 days until today.

It was just amazing and really creepy somehow. But I'd love to have a moment like that again sometime. Especially since Samhain is the time of the year I definitely love the most.

Anyone here who happend to have a moment like this as well?

But ever since I feel an urge to go back to that place. Yet I'd not go alone, for it'd be a little too creepy. wink.gif

Nightchild, I think you had a remarkable experience. If you look in the one of the other Samhain threads here, you'll see what happened at our Dumb Supper and our Samhain ritual. It was an amazing night for us, too, even though it was early for REAL Samhain!

I've been having some major problems at work lately (almost got fired last Thursday!), and I ran out of my anti-depressant, so I've been pretty vulnerable, but I noticed that ever since we celebrated Samhain, I've been very senstive to temperature changes (don't usually notice them at all!), to passing breezes, to other presences. I was so upset about work that I had a shamanic healing on Saturday, and I was talking to the healer about I had been feeling since Samhain.

She said that I was probably picking up on some of the "normal" Samhain energy -stray beings passing by - but that she's been given the message that all of us who work with Goddess/Earth/Magical energy are in the process of having our vibrational signal raised, so that we'll be ready for a work that is to come.

Anyway, I envy you your experience with the stars and nature, and the others ... Cherish it!

PS - many people think that when you are in the presence of those who have passed, the temperature drops ...

I'll surely check out the thread you mentioned wink.gif I'm always curious for things like that.

As for me, I've also noticed things since then. At monday 31st I came home when night had already fallen. Or maybe let's just say it was dark. And when I stood at the bus stop waiting for the bus to arive there were many other people standing around me. And for a short moment I felt like they all weren't substantial any longer. They somehow vanished. Their presence vanished and I felt others among them and around myself. Those others were spirits, I'm pretty sure of that. It only happend that once, but there were similar experiences all week long.
I was coming home and suddenly the world changed. It felt less real than normal.
I'm waking a street, noone there and suddenly I have the feeling of someone passing. I have the feeling of someone standing in the entrance of a house, watching me. All those little things most people wouldn't even notice at all or maybe would but would say they were just imaginations.
And I know they are real and I treasure each of them. It's just so amazing.

The world is about to change. That's for sure. Yet I think that might take some time still. My friends, who are wiccan much longer than I am, say the goddess is sleeping. But it's not that long any more until she'll wake up again. Not much longer meaning it's not as long as she's sleeping by now.
They say the times change. The zodiac that's influencing the time we're living in is about to change. It's about to change to a new beginning.

About that temperature thing... I always thought that the tamperature drops in the presence of spirits. Until I met one. It's almost two years now. That night, I woke up in the darkness and felt that I was no longer alone in the room that I was alone in when I locked the door before going to bed. And that spirit... it was not cold... suddenly it was getting so hot around me. And when it touched me it didn't feel cold either. It didn't feel exactely hot neither, but it was kinda... normal...
But I usually feel energy as cold breeze or coolness.
I don't know why it got so cold in the field. Maybe it was the sum of all spirits. Maybe it was Samhain beginning and its energy flowing... And probably I'll never know...

By the way, my friend does shamanistic healings, too. Meaning she gives them, not she takes them... Hope, you understood, what I meant... wink.gif

If you have patience and are willing to take the step to where you were afraid to step you will be amazed at what you can and will learn.

What is being described in the above posts are normal events and feelings when you have been touched by the other worlds... it is nothing to fear, it shows you are growing in your powers and that you can continue on into the realm of those that were and those that will be.

Blessed Be!

Yeah, I know. And I do not fear neither them nor their realms. Nevertheless it's a scary feeling to stand and feel... know they are watching you and they decide whether you are 'good enough' or not and you can't do anything about their decision. You only can stand and wait until they 'tell' you.
I think it's calming to know there's someone beside you who's just like you, waiting for them to act.

Yet I enjoy each and every encounter with them. I might be afraid in the moment they are near. But I guess, that's not unusual taking into account 'our' way of life and 'our' hiding death and everything connected to it.
When we grow up we 'learn' to fear them. And it's hard to 'unlearn'. But each time you meet them, it's easier, I think. Generally. I know there are those bringing more fear. Probably because of the 'function' they have.
Maybe one day, I'll know exactly. Maybe not. Who knows... wink.gif

I think you're right, here, Nightchild. I know that it doesn't freak me out anywhere near as much as it used to!

Yeah, it's the same with me.
The first time I met one of them I decided to better sleep with the lights switched on for some time.
By now I'm curiously waiting for every new meeting. smile.gif
