It has been suggested to me that there might be an opportunity using this forum to hold ritual world wide on a pre determined date and time according to your practice and belief...

How do you feel about that?

Can be done. It's been done in other forums and sites over the years, with varying results. I'm game.

Apologies for the absence, once again... getting things in order seems to be a lifelong quest these days. I would be game, as well (especially if I'd check in a bit more frequently sad.gif !)

I suggest that this Samhain at 11:59PM we all walk through the veil into the other worlds and meet with the greeting " The Goddess be with all who walk through the veil" .

Then let us see who was there! This will be a trial to see if we can connect for future ritual on the web.

What do you think?

Excellent idea, but my group will be celebrating Samhain at midnight. I'll see what I can do about visiting through the veil, though!

I'm game! Have been getting busy for my grandsons to be here but, since all have work/school the following day, I should be free -- although quite tired, I'm certain!

The decorating is going terrific... we're the only ones within blocks who are all decked out. Young couples drive by & it seems all enjoy it. Still plenty to do to prepare the "potion shop" for Monday, as well as other things that can't be put out ahead of time. Is anyone else decorating? How about others in your neighborhoods? Tombstone has gone all out with blocks of small miner's cottages filled with decs, downtown has horse-drawn wagons filled with pumpkins & it's quite a site to see.

Blessings to all & hope to see everyone on Monday!

I will look for all tonight!

Blessed be all those who have been, those who are and those who have yet to be...

I ended up being a bit pre-occupied last night. I completely got EVERYTHING mixed up because our group was committed (because of the space) to celebrating on Sunday, not Monday. I have to say that our celebration was wonderful though.

We started with a Dumb Supper, to which we each invited a friend or ancestor who had passed. We started this at about 9 pm. We set up a buffet table, and the dining table, with a place at the head for the Goddess and at the foot for the God, and a place to the left of each of us for our guest. Then we cast a circle that encompassed the entire room. We served, first, the God and Goddess, and then our guests and then ourselves. We at the meal in silence and, at the conclusion of the meal, we introduced our guests. We then had about 20 minutes in which to commune with our guests. We wrapped the meals for our guests and the Goddess and God and saved them to return to the Earth. Then we released the circle.

We cleaned up the room and set up for the Samhain ritual. I helped at first, but then picked up my drum/tambourine and drummed all around the room, since there still seemed to be some activity going on. Then, we all drummed around the circle, swept with the besom, incense, water, and athames. Then we conducted the ritual.

By the time we'd completed and I got home home it was 3 am! Needless to say, I didn't make it to work yesterday, and I slept most of the day and all night. If I met any of you in my dreams, I'm not (yet) aware of it. But I hope that everyone had a blessed Samhain!

Your group was probibly celebrating closer to the real Samhain!

Remember when these days were sacred the calendar month was only 28 days ( lunar based ) long.

I heard 3 voices last nite with the pre determined greeting but was not able to pinpoint them in the multitudes that were speaking.

Your event sounds grand.

Blessed Be!
