Well, I'll be on my way in about an hour to go drop my $50 and get my hair done. I'm thinking I may go back to bangs even though mine have just finally grown out so I can tuck them behind my ear. I can't pull my hair back and be really happy with the look if I don't have some sort of bangs - it's too much the ballet dancer look and I don't look good in it. And with warmer weather coming up, I definitely need to be able to put my hair up or ponytail it in some way.

Looking forward to touching up these roots - funny how they just insist on showing up about every month.

Well, I decided to go back to bangs but actually it's a bit of a compromise. There's just a wisp of bangs and they are very long so I can brush them to the side a bit if I like. There's enough there to offset the bare look if I want to pull my hair back. I'm happy with the result. And, since we're putting a blonde colour with my brown, the highlights are blondish where it sticks to the (cough, cough) white. Even my bangs have a bit of blonde in them now. I'm liking it. smile.gif

Since I have very long hair it is usually me that trims it but last week-end I wanted a good trim and wanted the highlights gone too so in all with the color and trim and just dried I paid 100$ with the tip.LOA

Lady of Avalon, I noticed your avatar is from the book "The Mists of Avalon", thats one of my all time favorite books!!!
I always thought that picture would make a fantastic back tattoo.

My wife shaves mine with an electric razor about once a month, so it's free. smile.gif After my first St. Baldrick's shave, I never went back. I don't shave myself bald, though...at least not yet. I just bought a Headblade today and I'm going to take a stab at going completely bald.

Hi ctbard,

Yes, you're right and I am happy to see that you've noticed and that's why I choose the name Lady Of Avalon.

I have read all the books except the last one from Marion Zimmer-Bradley The Priestess of Avalon series. They are wonderfull stories and well written.

Sad that this great author passed away.Thanks. LOA smile.gif

The price of a haircut seems to go up in proportion the amount of hair I have lost. Its hard to believe it costs so much to take care of so little.

I let my hair grow out for awhile then get bored and shave it completely bald. It makes my brother mad because he is going bald and doesn't have the choice that I do....LOL
