Thanks Cat! Now that is one Runrig site I have not seen. I added it to my favorites's list, which is getting pretty long! Now we can keep up with their activities better here. Sure wish I could buy some of their DVDs here, but so far no luck. Our format here in the states doesn't match the ones in GB. sad.gif But I will keep looking.

Hello everyone and to all Runrig fans here !

I am a French Runrig fan but unfortunately I have never seen the band live ! I keep waiting for them to come for a gig in the South East of France ( Savoy ) or even in Switzerland ! That would be great !

French fans are really disappointed by the lack of gigs in France but some of them might come soon here to talk about their favourite band (n'est-ce pas Losgann ?) !!!

I love the Band latest album : Proterra ! Wonderful CD. What do you think about it ? Give me your opinion ! smile.gif

Proterra is awesome! I love it and everything they do. However, I think my favorite CD of theirs is In Search of Angels. I love every song on there.

I am sorry you have not been able to see Runrig in concert. I live in the states and I don't think they do much tours here either. sad.gif

Hello again CelticRose !

Once again we have the same tastes ! The CD "In search of Angels" is brilliant ! One of my favourites too !

The new Runrig singer is Canadian, so there might be a Runrig tour in Canada and in the USA ! So keep your fingers crossed. yes.gif Whenever I can get information about tour dates, I will let you know.

Thank you Lionel! I did not know the new lead singer was Canadian. I know a lot of people were upset when the other lead singer left, but that's all I know.

Welcome CelticRose !

In 1997 the Scottish lead singer Donnie Munro left the band ! He was replaced by Canadian lead singer Bruce Guthro.

Some fans stopped following the band when Donnie left and other fans discovered the band with Bruce ! I don't think there is any problem because I love Runrig before and after this change in the lead singing ! wink.gif I think that Runrig has changed and gets better and better ! That's a pity for those who think that the problem is in the fact that Runrig is no longer a Scottish band. sad.gif Runrig is above all a Celtic band. walkman.gif

Got to say there is worlds between Donnie's and Bruce's voices. Neither sings bad but Donnie's voice has that really good mudulation...

Thanks for the info. I didn't know the names of the lead singers and I don't think I have any of the earlier Runrig CDs with Donnie's voice.

Right ! I agree with you. I love Donnie's voice. Bruce's is very different but I like it too especially in songs like "The old boys", the opening of the "Proterra" CD ! note.gif

Which CDs are Donnie's voice in? The CDs I have are Celtic Glory, Beat The Drum, Proterra, Recovery and In Search of Angels. I don't think Donnie is in any of those, right?
