Hello EMT Queen! Welcome to the forum. Is it safe to assume that you are also an Emergency Medical Technician, or does the EMT stand for something else? Anywho...warmest of welcomes. smile.gif

Yup, I'm an EMT! wink.gif

EMT Queen, if you don't mind me asking you further, what made you choose Japanese out of all the non-Latin-based languages? I'm curious since it's such a rare language to learn.

I love the Japanese culture. I got a taste of it in one of my favorite movies (Kill Bill) and I had to learn more and I became really interested in the language and culture. I enjoy watching their movies as well. Some of their movies, you would so not see an American filmmaker do (with the exception of Quentin Tarantino, maybe).

EMT Queen,

how interesting! Do you study with books or go to a class? Do you have opportunities to speak Japanese? It's a difficult language to learn since it's so different from all the others.
I'll be glad to help you (if I can!) when you have any questions.

I take a class at my university. I'm in the second semester class. We've been learning and using Kanji and right now, we're working on the verbs and their conjugations.

Outside of class, I don't have too much of an opportunity to speak the language.

You know, I find elements of Japanese to be easier to learn than French, oddly enough. But of course, when it comes to the speaking tests, I want to speak French.

My name is Augusto, and I'm a lover of Celtic music that lives in Italy... and that does not miss any celtic music festival in his country! I listen to this genre of music since I first heard of Clannad's "Robin, the ooded man" in 1987 and since then I collected LOTS of celtic music CDs (and some trip to Ireland Scotland and french Bretagne, all lands I learnt to love, for their landscapes and for their people, other than for their music... and Ireland also for the Irish Stew, by the way! LOL). I also started to play in 1982, and with the strong passion I have for Celtic world, could I avoid to play some celtic music? Of course not! ...I found this website looking for someone that would like to broadcast our music, but now that I found it, I think I won't leave this amazing community...
This is a great website and this is a very interesting radio! :-)
Thank you all for the patience, best regards and greetings from northern Italy...

Hello Augusto! Nice to have you here! My father was first generation American Sicilian. I have never been to Sicily or Italy, but hopefully one day. There was a lot of Celtic culture in Italy and Sicily as I believe some of the ancient Celtic groups settled there. We may all find out we're really Viking blood instead of Italian! biggrin.gif Well enjoy the music and the forums here.
