My daughter and her Dance Studio was asked to Irish Step dance at a fund raiser (http://lastcallfoundation.org/) for fallen fire fighter Michael Kennedy from Boston. They were so excited because they were doing it with live music from the band Tin Can Hooley. These guys were fantastic! I was very impressed. And they made the girls feel like super stars! Thought I'd give them a shout out for donating their time for a great cause, having a great sound, and making a young group of dancers feel great.
Bio: "Tin Can Hooley are a ceilidh band that sings. We play songs, jigs and reels from the Irish folk tradition, as well as an unhealthy dose of Pogues covers and a sprinkling of miscellany (Scottish, Cape Breton, bluegrass, &c.), with a lively mix of piano, accordion, snare & bass drums, fiddle, guitar, bouzouki, tin whistle, blues harp and the occasional bagpipes.
Based in Boston, we've been playing together off and on in various iterations since circa 2000, and as Tin Can Hooley since 2009."
