Celtic Radio Community > Welsh > Pronunciation Of Gwyllt

Can anyone help me properly pronounce the adjective Gwyllt?

A few things I am confused by. Do I pronounce it as Gw + y or G + wy and how does that flow into the aspirated L sound of the LL.

Is t just tuh like in "spit'. If not how is the t pronounced?

If it should be pronounced Gw + y then which pronunciation of y is it? the uh sound or the i (as in this) sound?

Thanks for any help you an provide.

I sent you an email but I didn't answer these questions you asked her.

It's GW+Y
And the T is normal T. When Welsh changes the sound of a letter, it will change it in spelling as well, unlike English.

Thanks very much for answering my questions. I think I've got it but I'm going to have to practice it alot to be able to say it without overpronouncing I think.
