Loss of a loved one is so hard to comprehend You are never ready for their life here to end You do not want them to suffer But their leaving is rougher And you can not imagine how you will mend
Friends try to comfort and soothe Their words seem too smooth They mean the best But you are distressed Try to remember that they want to soothe
The suffering has ended for your loved one It is hard to see them in their coffin Know that they are not there But do not despair They are with someone more sovereign
There are so many kinds of reflections Reflections on the surface of water Reflections in a mirror Reflections of yourself in someone else
There are also the reflections We each have inside Reflections of the past Reflections of those we love Reflections of what we have survived
The reflections of survival Are the most important They help us through everyday When we are at our lowest Is when we need to pull out That resource and use it
We can learn so much from Our past experiences They help us to not repeat The same mistakes over The more we listen to our Inner voice that says “Don’t do that! You already learned That lesson,” the better we will be
Find a little sunshine In all that you do. That little bit of sunshine Can make a big difference.
Sunshine is important to everyone. It makes us strong. It can make us happy.
There are times when it is hard To bear the sunshine. These are the times when We must try harder to see the good.
Sadness, depression, whatever you call it, Makes it difficult to go through a day. Sunshine can seem to add to the problem. You have to remember that the sunshine Is the gods way of reminding us That we are good and worthwhile.
We are people with feelings. Feelings that are more sensitive , But we are still worthy of everything That others give us.
"May those who love us, love us. And those who hate us, may God turn their hearts. And if he doesn't turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles so we'll know them by their limping." -Celtic Proverbs
Grateful am I to have a sword in which to defend myself at all times, blessed am I for the days I need not use it.
Thank you very much. I will keep writing. I have found a new source for ideas, my dreams. I never bothered to write them down until last week so now I am going to use them for story lines.
I enjoy my poetry and try to make it useful to someone. I would love to find a way to put it all into a book and get it published.
