Pronouncing Scot-Gaelice, Ruadh gu brath (redheads forever)

Let me start off by saying that this is my first forum post on this website, and I am excited to meet new people and learn new things!!!

I will also say:

I am a redheaded lassie with my share of tattoos. I think is time for some new ink, so I've decided to get another Celtic tattoo. Since I am a redhead, I want to get the Scot-Gaelic quote " Ruadh gu brath" (redheads forever), I would like it on my wrist.

I know how to spell it but I don't know how to pronounce or say it. So, I need all the help I can get! Please,please,please help me.

I have been trying for a couple of years to learn Scot Gaelic. Not very successfully though I might add. If you do not get any info here, there as at least one or two threads re:Gaelic under the communities banner. I tried to participate in one at one time but I took to long to formulate a Gaelic answer. You can communicate in English also. There are some great people who will be glad to help you there.

By the way, in the word 'bràth' you actually pronounce the 'th' as a light 'ch', as in the Scottish pronunciation of Loch Ness.

This is not the usual pronunciation of 'th' in Gaelic - usually it's silent, or just an 'h' sound.

If said quickly, just RROO-uh gih BRAHch.

It literally means 'red-haired forever'.
