hello everyone as the topic states i'm the new guy (for now). just checking everything out and i hope to get to know a few more celtic fans out there i thought for a while i was the only one who still listens to that music. i'll tell you a little about myself. i am a 20 year old white male from PA USA grad from high school looking to move into college but haven't found the right one as of yet. i work full time at my soon to be mother in laws store and spend my free time listening to music, playing computer games, and talking with the one i love. i have been going out with this woman since october 13 2000 and i hope with all my heart to finally pop the question at christmas but she is being stubborn and wont give me her ring size. both of us love the old way of life and love the celtic music i hope to have plenty of it when we finally get married. i live at home with my parents, younger brother and sister, and a new addition my older sister and her two year old daughter have just moved in with us. i love my neice and will teach her to love celtic as well if its the last thing i do ha ha ha. i think thats all i have for now but if you have any questions or comments please post them i will be on as often as i can to check and hopefully meet some new friends. peace all.

may all your hardships fade away till night becomes morn may love remain to guide your way.

Hello connor1985! Fàilte gu Celtic Radio! Welcome to Celtic Radio!

In my humble opinion, you have found one of the best websites ever. The people here are some of the nicest to be found anywhere on the net, and the music is simply out of this world.

So kick off your shoes, grab a mug of your favorite hot (or cold) beverage, turn up the music and have fun! I look forward to getting to know you better through your posts.

If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to ask anyone with the word "Guide" beneath their avatar. That's why we're here!

Yesterday my wife and I celebrated our 19th anniversary! Good luck with your reslationship! I hope all goes well for you and your lady love!

Again, it is so nice to have you with us. We are like one big family here, and we just love welcoming new members to the fold! I hope that you will enjoy your stay with us, and that you will come back and visit with us often. I feel quite certain that you will grow to love the place as much as I have.

Welcome to the family, my friend!

Heh heh -- or do it the way they do int he old ballads. Get a band of braw laddies on horseback to kidnap her awa' to your castle, and then measure her finger. biggrin.gif
Sounds very romantic though. I wonder -- is it just that she wants to pick her own ring, and not be surprised? Strong-minded lass.

Anyway -- best of all possible wishes to you and your lady love for a beautiful, traditional holiday season, and good listening here on CelticRadio!

Take her to the Jeweler and let her pick what she wants less romantic but maybe more satisfying

First of all thank you all for your kind words and warm welcome. i have been looking for a site that welcomes all sorts of people not just the rich and upper class. many sites i have found are either that or sexual and nothing gets done. i must say i found some of your ideas humous. i really liked the idea of riding off with her (my love) to my castle (or home in this case lol) and finding out for sure if only it were that easy. she is a horse lover and that is what she is taking in college now. me on the other hand i can put up with them and i've rode a bit but i'm not very good but i am good at the farming part of it. my grandma owns a nice peice of land out in the country and i have been told that it may be mine someday but nothing has been decided as of yet and i'm hoping to hold on to my grandma for a long time yet. anyway we have always had it in our hearts to have an old fasioned wedding but with what time i have spent i have found very little info about such on line. do any of you have ideas? i know she wanted to ride away on a horse drawn carrage and i think i can pull that off but its all the details we are having trouble finding info about. that and she has just fallen in love with the old style dresses of the period but we both know that you either have to have those custom made and we both are in the middle to lower class income levels. oh well i guess all that matters is that we love each other and it doesn't matter what this wedding really turns out to be but like i said i'm just looking for ideas to make it evern more special for her. that is one if not the most important thing in my life is making sure she is happy and cared for. anyway i hope to get to know you all soon and make some new friends. i never knew there were so many other people out there who liked celtic music as much (or more) then i do. i've finally come home...

Let all your hardships fade away till night becomes morn, may love remain to guide your way. till the day we are reborn.
