Celtic Radio Community > Introductions > Hello From Boston

I'm a Dala fan living in Boston and found my way here through a post that Sarah made on the dalagirls.com forum about their nomination in the 2010 Celtic Radio Music Awards.

In my humble opinion, Dala is one of the best new bands on the Folk scene, and I try to make it to every show of theirs in my area. They're based in Toronto, but started making their way down to the states in 2009. I heard them for the first time at the New Bedford Folk Festival that year, and I was immediately hooked.

I'm not very knowledgeable about Celtic music, so I hope to pick up some tips here, as well.

Thanks! smile.gif

Howdy, BostonDalaFan, from the Navajo Nation in Northern Arizona. You've come the the right place for Dala fans. It seems they have really taken off here. You'll also learn a lot about Celtic music. The play list here has a great overview of the genre. Hope you enjoy all you see and hear.

Welcome aboard and have a great day!

^^^ Thanks haynes9!

I love Arizona - I've been there many times, even to Canyon De Chelly and Monument Valley. Sedona is perhaps my favorite place ever.

Very cool! My wife and I and our girls live about 40 miles from Canyon de Chelly! Monument Valley is only 2 1/2 hours from us and is one of my favorite places. Hubble's Trading Post is about a mile from us, so we've got National and Tribal Parks all over around here!

You have a great day! And I agree with you that Sedona is amazing.
