"You've got a friend" by James Taylor - because I'm blessed with such a friend who was at my side during the rough times. hug.gif

Does it get any better than JT? Still love his version of Up on the Roof.

Loch Lomond by The Lost Boys

That always reminds me of the first time I went to Dragon*Con and I saw them perform there. It began a great friendship with several members of the band and also it was my first time attending the Con with my SO, who I am still with - and happily, I might add.

OK you may think this is silly but...My regular everyday song is the theme song from the Andy Griffith Show. (Because of my last name)

At other times in the past several months .I really needed to hear Sea of No Cares by Great Big Sea. Helps me not dwell on all the tests, etc.

"My Heart Belongs to Scotland" by Steve McDonald.

The song exactly characterizes how I feel, especially the second line, "And when you hear again the pipes of Scotland, then you shall remember who you are." That happened to me--about a year ago I watched a show "How Its Made" about bagpipes and at the end the maker played the pipes to test them and suddenly WHAM! I remembered how much Scots blood I have and the blood has been boiling ever since!

The verses:

Oh, yes, I know my heart belongs to Scotland, be it not how near or far we roam.
Yet still I hear the pipes a long way calling...calling out to carry my soul back home.

We are Scotland, Scotland, Scotland the brave.
We are Scotland, Scotland, Scotland the brave..far away.

And when you hear again the pipes of Scotland, then you shall remember who you are.
Be proud to be a grandchild of Scotland. May her seed be scattered near and far.

We are Scotland, Scotland, Scotland the brave.
We are Scotland, Scotland, Scotland the brave..far away.

Beautiful song!
