| Good Evening! Let me start off by saying that this is my first forum post on this website, and I am excited to meet new people and learn new things!!! I will also say: I am a redheaded lassie with my share of tattoos. I think is time for some new ink, so I've decided to get another Celtic tattoo. Since I am a redhead, I want to get the Scot-Gaelic quote " Ruadh gu brath" (redheads forever), I would like it on my wrist. I know how to spell it but I don't know how to pronounce or say it. So, I need all the help I can get! Please,please,please help me. Thanks so much for all the time and help!!! |

| I have been trying for a couple of years to learn Scot Gaelic. Not very successfully though I might add. If you do not get any info here, there as at least one or two threads re:Gaelic under the communities banner. I tried to participate in one at one time but I took to long to formulate a Gaelic answer. You can communicate in English also. There are some great people who will be glad to help you there. | By the way, in the word 'brąth' you actually pronounce the 'th' as a light 'ch', as in the Scottish pronunciation of Loch Ness. This is not the usual pronunciation of 'th' in Gaelic - usually it's silent, or just an 'h' sound. RROO-ugh goo BRAHch. If said quickly, just RROO-uh gih BRAHch. It literally means 'red-haired forever'. |
