One of the local newspapers, the Chicago Tribune, is taking nominations for the "seven wonders of Chicago". It got me thinking, what are seven wonders of your areas.
The rules: 1. It has to be in your metropolitian area (or the nearest one if you live out in the boondocks). 2. No people. Only objects. 3. It has to be currently in existence. If your favorite place went up in flames last night, it doesn't count.
Here are mine for Chicago:
1. Longwood Drive in Beverly. 2. The highest natural point in Cook County, which is at the intersection of 87th Street and Western Avenue. 3. Lake Shore Drive. 4. Sears Tower. 5. Marshall Fields (State Street). 6. The "L". 7. The burgers at Top Notch Beefburgers on 95th Street.
