Does Anyone know What Happened to the Group "The Trybe" ~ Stonehaven, Scotland ~ I used to talk to them all the time and they've disappear after they changed their website; gonna look a few more places but if anyone knows how to reach them, please let me know! thanks, darlene
Thanks Steve hopefully we will be hearing from them soon darlene. This is a busy time of year for the bands in Scotland. Let us know if you hear from them and I will do the same.
Thanks Rindy, you are a sweetheart; I tried locating them off and on for over a year; I know that have a site on myspace and facebook, but never a response for over a year; I used to talk to them about every other year...I love them and they've been REALLY helpful...I will let you know if I hear from them..thanks for your help.
I was watching the video they have on videocult and it brought a tear to me eye...
Thanks Maceoghein; I will try that site; I googled them often and thought I checked them all, can't remember; I will try!
Thank you so much for your responses..very thoughtful and helpful.
These guys and girls were about as pictish as I had found and like to said VERY helpful...
Just wondering from my last inquiry if anyone ever heard anything on the Trybe; I've sent messages all over the place myspace and facebook with no reply; anyone else have any ideas?
Hi Darlene, gosh, no I haven't heard a word. May be they are just busy gigging or may be their not together anymore. I sure hope that's not the case. Brendan of any of the band if your reading this please respond. We would really like to hear from you all just to make sure all is ok. Thanks for bringing this up again Darlene.
They were a lot of fun; had even mapped out a whole route for me to take when I thought I was going to be able to go to Scotland and Ireland; a life long dream, but lost my job and trying to still figure out how I am going to do this thrift wise, if there is such a thing....anyway, thanks for your help, if I happen to hear anything I will let you know as I know you'll do the same.
They had a video that was great, not too music wise; but how to wear a kilt, I'll have to find it again. At one time, I entered it into video-cult..love those guys!
"The Trybe" Returns! Yahoo! I am a much happier Trybe Follower now; they're back; they posted a blog on their myspace site; here's what they had to say!
*********************************************************** We're Back It's been quite some time since anything was posted and I know some of you have missed us - thank you for that and having the patience to wait until we got our computer gremlins sorted out. I think we are finally on top of them.
Patty, our good friend, Scottish Orphan has agreed to keep those gremlins at bay and it is really exciting for us to have someone who knows how to tame a computer, post photos and add music to the site. So, with Patty's help look out for some exciting new tunes and photos in the coming weeks.
Skirlie and Davie are currently flying the Trybe flag in Africa bringing a little Pictish music and humour to our friends out there. Personally I think they are just fleeing from the Scottish weather - it is cold, dark and wet here in the Pictish homeland. The boys should be back, tanned and full of tales to tell next week.
Look out for more updates then. In the meantime, it is good to be back and great to have Patty on board.
your brothers aye!
