So -- who would you talk to if you could? If the seance actually brought you close enough to communicate with an ancestor, a relative, a historical figure? what would you want to know from them? Or they from you, perhaps? Or would it all be too much, and you wouldn't go near it if you could?
I'd want to talk to Elvis so I could know that he was really really dead and not just hanging out with aliens or whatever.

May those who love us love us And those who don't love us May God turn their hearts, And if He doesn't turn their hearts, May He turn their ankles, So we'll know them by their limping.
I would want to talk to someone in my family far enough back on my mother's side that could give me my family tree.......Much better than the census records don't you think?
I would talk to my grandparents. My mom's mother was the only grandparent my sister and I ever really knew. My mom's father died when she was in high school and my dad's parents died when my sister and I were little.

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
i would like to talk to turlough o' carolan..... the irish harper ...
i would like to ask him if it pisses him off when i play his music.... not that i would stop.... just would wanna know.....
actually the the choice would be overwhelming if i could only talk to just one.... but since i cant really talk to anyone beyond.... i will stick with my first choice.
ps... wondering if the title of this string "Who Would You. . ., if you could?" was meant to sound the way it does....
I'm with Celtic Cat, Madadh, Nancy-Raven and Celticfire I'd like to talk to an ancestor. Perhaps ask my several times removed grandfather if he in fact came over from Wales as family records suggest and if so where he lived, who were his parents, grandparents, etc and what kind of life he had. Or ask an ancestor of my maternal grandmother's side the same question because we really no nothing of them.
Other than that I'd like to talk with my grandparents to make sure they are where they wanted to be.
I would want to talk to my dad- he died when I was eight, and so I don't have a very good memory of him anymore. Just wanna know what he was like, what made him laugh, etc.
I would say my granparents on both sides of my family. My dad's mom died when he was 7 and I always wanted to know what she was like. Also, my other grandparents, I know they could offer me a lot of info when it comes to my family tree. Seems we are kind of stuck right now with one side of my family.
