Anyway, welcome to the joint. It is a blast to be here. You're going to enjoy your stay no matter how long or short. Preferrably long of course. Enjoy the music.

Hi all . My great great grandparents came from Ireland and settled in Ga. USA.
I have all ways listened to celtic music. My wife on the other hand does not enjoy it as much as I do. I enjoy listen to this station while I am at work. In the Emergency Services it helps me to unwind.

Hi again! I was just wondering... Do you have a Public Radio station near where you live? If so, you might want to find out what their programming schedule is. Where I live, every Sunday afternon from 3pm to 4pm, our local station plays a program called Thistle and Shamrock, an excellent Celtic music program, hosted by a Scottish woman named Fiona Ritchie. I could just sit and listen to her voice all day! wink.gif But the music she plays is excellent indeed! You should check into it.

yepyep, wizard, we have the thistle and the shamrock on one of our local npr stations here. sometimes i listen to it but, more frequently i'm in the room where my computer is so, it's just easier to listen to internet radio smile.gif i really do like fionna richie's show, though. i should just make a point to be by the radio when it comes on....

Greetings anhrefn and emt640! Glad you found us. I hope your stay here is as enjoyable as mine has been. This is one of the best groups of people on the web, and a wealth of knowledge in a variety of subjects can be found here as well.

Anhrefn, do you live anywhere near Asheville, NC? I only as because that's the area I lived in before moving here to SC in 1997. I wasn't much into Celtic culture at that time, and think I may have missed out on a lot while I was there. ??

Welcome anhrefn and emt. You will really enjoy it here. It is a great place to be.

Anhrefn. What part of NC do you live in. Me and me husband went to gfmh games this year and had a great time. Wish we could go to Carolina Celtic Jam Union Grove, NC this month to see ClannAnDrumma. They are a great band from Scotland. Have you ever seen them?

Hello again anhrefn - sorry, just wanted to know if you knew any Welsh. Glad you're learning! Basically I was asking you to please join us on the Welsh boards (beginner's Welsh) if you're interested in learning since we currently only have about four regular users there.

Croeso unwaith eto (Welcome once again).
