Hello everyone..I haven't posted on here in quite a while...Val...I've just been reading all the postings that you have been putting on here...OMG! Some of them had me rolling with laughter...where did you come up with them? We have been thawing out from the large ice and snow storm from last week...We ended up with several inches of ice and 4 or 5 inches of snow on top of that...the snow has melted off which leaves us with the ice left, so it is like a skating rink outside... I went in to the hospital on the 23rd of January and finally had my pesky Gall Bladder removed...it had been giving me problems for a year..Still sore and haven't had the stitches removed yet but doing better. Really starting to get "cabin fever" from the surgery and the weather...just glad that it waited until after I had it done to hit us..we have a 2 hour drive to the hospital where it was done...would have been hair raising trying to drive after that storm.. I haven't been able to lift anything so it is really sad that I can't pick up my 8 month granddaughter and cuddle her. Hope all of you are doing well and I will try to post on here more often...
Leenie, So glad you are back and are doing better. Most of the things I have posted are sent to me in emails at work.
Take care of yourself. Val

"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
Leenie I am new here and was browsing and saw your post. Glad you are doing okay and wanted to say, been there, done that back in "83. Great big huge scar now and I guess for the most part they dont do that anymore. Hope your recovery goes smooth and I know how it is about picking up a baby to. My son was just a wee bit over a year when I had mine done and after being in the hospital for two blasted weeks he didnt want anything to do with me. Luckily I had older kids and they would pick him up and place him in my lap for me. Boy, hearing about your weather and all across the country makes me really really glad I live in NM. We have had our share of cold but little to no snow where we are. Course our time is usually this month so who knows. We do have a front moving in which will mean an end to our 60 degree weather. Stay warm and stay safe.

When the day shall come, that we do part; if my last words are not 'I love you'--ye'll ken it was because I didna have time. (Fiery Cross Quotes) Also a Diana Gabaldon, Jamie Frazier lover
leenie, wishing you a quick recovery and welcome back. Now do as your told and no lifting!

The Scots of course insist that the pipes produce music. But the point is after all not too important. For those who love them, the pipes can evoke more vividly than any other instrument, high emotion, they can inspire valor, and tell of tragic tales of battles long ago. They can call forth merriment or sentiment. It does not matter what the sound is called, those who are deaf to its merits would not understand anyway.
Been a little while since I've posted here since I've discovered the highly addictive drug that is Facebook ! I have been lurking about though, reading the posts.

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
I thought I would stop in to say hello. I've been working a lot, and planning my daughters wedding.
I just got back from a wonderful weekend of dancing at Unicoi, GA. We had great teachers, and a most wonderful band, the Music Makars. They were so awsome.
Mike stressful planning when it comes to a wedding can be an understatement. This daughter has been better than the last daughter, we have only had one incident of bridezilla.
You know, both of my daughters have upstairs bedrooms. I'm just going to buy them each a ladder that reaches their window and a new suitcase and then give their groom to be instructions on how to hold the ladder and catch a plane...
Gwenlee, when is the big day? I been gone for about 8-9 months and maybe missed the date (no I did not have a baby, I learned what causes that. HAHA!!) Anyway , please post pictures. Love weddings as long as they are someone elses.
The wedding is May 2nd. We will have a piper to provide the music for the wedding. She is marrying a Frazier and we will have the tartan as a back drop, the wedding party won't be wearing kilts, darn it. Oh well. She called today and gave me the total for the flowers and a total for the food. So it is off to work I go.
