I've thought to put some information forth to see what others may have found.

here's what I pulled from my dad's database on an individual to whom he has traced out geneology

Richard Creech (Creich?)
Born in 1608 -- Alba
Immigrated from Scotland in 1635, Later killed by natives
Wife Frances Beale
Son- Henry Creech Sr. B 1635

summerised From a text of Creech lineage:

In Fife, Alba -- region of Creych.
Clan ows alligance to MacDuff, wore Scottish tartan.

We're looking for more information about this individual.
Anyone have ideas on additional places to look from a point such as this?

I have a bit more information on Richard Creech. He was my Great x9 Grandfather. I have taken an interest in the family history some time ago and through share information, have gathered some details you might be interested in.

It is estimated Richard Creech was Born Richard Creich near Fife Scotland in 1606. He married Mary Francis Beal and had 2 sons and 1 daughter.

This family came to North America aboard "Journeyman." Richard Creich (Creech is the English spelling) emigrated to what later became known as Jamestown, Virginia, as a mercenary guard to the English tobacco farmers. This Richard was killed on the outer perimeter of Jamestown during an attack by indians. His wife and daughter also died, but his two sons away at school at the time survived to become ancestors of the Family Creich in the colonies.

In 1644, with English plantations spreading throughout Tidewater Virginia the Powhatan Indians were pushed west toward the fall line or into marginal areas like swamps. Opechancanough led another uprising of the Powhatan Indians, killing about 500 colonists, including Richard Creech, his wife and daughter. War with the Indians continued for nearly two years.
