"The New Hampshire Highland Games & Festival, the largest and most diverse Scottish cultural festival in the Northeast, is presented by The New Hampshire Gathering of the Scottish Clans, Inc., a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the furtherance of the music, dance, athletics and customs of the Scottish people and to the continuance of the Gaelic culture. Always starting on the third Friday of each September, there are three full days of activities that offer something for everyone and include competitions (Highland Dance, Piping, Drumming, Pipe Bands, Fiddle, Harp, Scottish Heavy Athletics and Sheep Dog Trials), Clan Village, Vendor Villages, multiple World-Class venues, Seminars,Whisky Tastings, Living History area and so much more!"

Amongst the largest and one of the most diversified games in the country, the NH Highland Games & Festival (NHHG&F) includes the Gathering of the Scottish Clans, with over 60 clans and societies; Massed Bands; Sheepdog Trials; Celtic World Music Concerts; the New England Regional Scottish Fiddle Championship; International Scottish Athletics; New England Highland Dance Championships; New England Solo Piping Drumming Championships; Scottish Harp (Clarsach) other instrumental competitions. Scottish Heavy Athletics
The New Hampshire Highland Games and Festival has become a favorite venue many of the world's top Heavyweight athletes. Come and cheer on your favorite competitor as they exhibit their skill and strength!
Seminars
Seminars in Whisky or BeerTastings and Scottish History. Demonstrations and workshops in Harp, Fiddle and Scottish Country Dancing. Don't miss the storytelling in our Youth Program. Be sure to check the schedule when it is posted in late summer for all the details.
Competitions
Competitions in Highland Dance, Piping and Drumming, Pipe Bands, Fiddle, and Harp are all an exciting component of the NH Highland Games & Festival. Entry forms for all competition areas including the annual golf tournament are available for download from this website each year in late spring. On-line entries for Highland Dance, Piping and Drumming and Pipe Bands are also available at the same time.
Youth Program
The NHHG&F offers a great Youth Program on Saturday and Sunday. Children can try their hand at various craft projects, participate in games and demonstrations or listen to the storyteller! Events are designed for children 5 years to pre-teen, but we welcome all who are interested in discovering more about Scottish culture in an interactive way!

Competitoins are held in individual piping & drumming and pipe bands, highland dancing, fiddle, harp (clarsach), sheep dogs, and heavy Scottish athletics. Over 60 clans and societies, and living history encampments bring the history of Scotland to life. With multiple venues, Scottish and Celtic performers entertain with traditional and modern music. Join us for three days of music, food, competitions and more as we celebrate the 40th New Hampshire Highland Games & Festival."
