Why is the Rankin Family always the featured artist between 7PM and 8PM?

Will they be featured every day at this time? All this week? All this month?

Will any other groups be featured in this time slot?

No, the Rankins will not be featured every night! As much as I love their music, it will not happen.

Some of the weirdness of the broadcast has been due to work on our broadcast schedule script. This script ties directly to our broadcast software and will show any changes we make on the radio server! Cool uh?

And I am happy to release our first Broadcast programming guide. For now, this can be considered a pre-release. I believe I have fixed all the bugs and issues I ran across. The biggest feature of our weekly schedule is world wide compatibility with all time zones! (thats what took so long to program it!).

http://www.celticradio.net/php/schedule.php

I am not going to venture out and say it works 100% perfect, so if someone can show me that it is not showing the right time in a given time zone, we may just throw a Free CD at you!

We will be adding some smaller features to the programming guide over the next week. SO the look of it is not done yet. Also, the featured artist will display with a small thumb nail picture of the artist.

Now about the programming. I hear you about requests, so I have opened up requests from 8:00am to 12:00am (16 hours a day). During most of our day time programs requests can be made. Feel free to continue sending suggestions and we will see what we can do.

We will be working on our schedule page alot over the next week, so check back soon. We will also be adding links on our menu and frontpages to this new section very soon.

Looks good.
Also, have to add I love the new count on the coming up page that gives me some idea of how long I have to wait for my requested tracks to play.
(can also avoid Aselin Debison)

Mac5,

Just thought I would make a comment here on the new schedule. I think you have found the right mix with balanced styles. I for one do not have any complaints.

Keep up the good work! Is that a light at the end of the tunnel? I just hope it's not a train coming.

Ahh, the light is coming but slowly. Been spending most of my time these past weeks with my family. Got some goodies planned over the next month!

Im glad the schedule is working out. It also leaves lots of room to add stuff. BTW, the feature artist on the broadcast is not exactly working yet. It will show the same artist until we schedule a weekly job.
